While our doors are temporarily closed, Housel Bay is anything but quiet. Each year, we take time to thoughtfully evolve the hotel we love, refining spaces, enhancing comfort and finding new ways to reflect the extraordinary landscape that surrounds us. This winter, we’re in the midst of one of our most exciting periods of transformation yet, and we can’t wait to share what’s taking shape.

A New Look for Our Housel Shop
Our Housel Shop Front is being reimagined as a larger, more welcoming space, beautifully crafted by hand. It will showcase our favourite Cornish produce and local independents, alongside products made at Housel Bay, and a brand-new deli filled with treats to take away. It’s a place to browse, discover, and take a little piece of the coast with you when you leave.

Reimagining The Terrace
Our Terrace Restaurant is also getting a brand-new look, creating a space that feels warmer, cosier and distinctly its own. Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Cornish coastline, we’re layering earthy tones and natural materials to bring the wild coast indoors. The result will be a relaxed, inviting setting.

Transforming Our Panoramic View Rooms
Our biggest renovation project of the year is the transformation of our Panoramic View Rooms. We’re saying goodbye to the old and inviting in the fresh. From coastal tones, natural textures and a calmer, more contemporary feel. Allowing the views and the landscape to truly take centre stage. Rooms designed for rest, reflection and connection with the coast.
This period of change is all part of our ongoing commitment to thoughtful improvement, honouring what makes Housel Bay special, while continually making it better. We’re counting down the days until we can reopen our doors and welcome you back to experience everything we’ve been creating.
