Our history.
Opening in the summer of 1894, Housel Bay is much more than just a hotel. It has its’ very own breadth of history.
This historic character can still be felt within our walls. The Victorian architecture was designed by famous Cornishman, Silvanus Trevail, and many of the original features remain unchanged.
Past guests include the great Guglielmo Marconi, who is celebrated for sending the first signal across the ocean, mere metres from Housel Bay.
