Welcome to the
Housel Bay Hotel in Cornwall
Housel Bay Hotel stands on its near-perfect position on The Lizard in Cornwall, boasting what has been remarked as, "One of the best views in the UK." The Hotel was designed and built in the early 1890's with the approval of Prime Minister at the time, William Gladstone. Housel Bay is a wonderful example of late Victorian architecture.
The Cornish Coast Path trickles through the hotels garden, providing access east and west to many of the most stunning locations in Cornwall, including Kynance Cove & Cadgwith Cove. All of the hotels 21 bedrooms have their own bathrooms and those in the gable-ends of the building are furnished with sitting areas, where guests can relax and contemplate the endless passage of ships entering and leaving the channel, and even enjoy glimpses of sandy Housel Beach nestled just beneath the cliffs.
'The Dining Room' restaurant serves breakfast, lunches, snacks and dinner all to AA Rosette standard and is widely patronised for its unique style and high standards. Guests can enjoy a drink on the wide Hotel terrace or lower decking before dining in the Conservatory or the more formal Dining Room.
The Housel Bay Hotel has become one of the most recognised hotels in Cornwall due to its unique views overlooking the western approaches of the atlantic ocean. The Hotel has received an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence four years in a row and has also been featured in the prestigious Trencherman's Guide for three years running, one of only a small number of Hotels in Cornwall to receive such accolades so consistently.
