We are happy to share the news that our Fallowfields restaurant has just received the two AA Rosettes Award this year for culinary excellence.
First introduced in 1956, the AA’s Rosette Award scheme was the first UK-wide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. For AA inspectors, they say the top and bottom line is the food. The taste of a dish is what counts, and whether it successfully delivers to the diner the promise of the menu. The AA is constantly reviewing its award criteria, and competition usually results in an all-round improvement in standards, so it becomes increasingly difficult for restaurants to reach an award level. We are pleased that our visit from a AA inspector resulted in being awarded an Award of Two Rosettes for our Fallowfields restaurant. “Impressive cuisine” with “much to admire.”
Since our new ownership last Summer we have been working together to breathe a new air of life into the hotel. We are thrilled to share the news that The Hotel was awarded the maximum three-star rating, as awarded by the AA Hotel Inspectors, just last month. For others to see the gradual changes made since it’s new beginning is a big moment for all the team here at Housel Bay, where the AA Hotel Inspectors comment on the Hotel being in “an exciting phase”.
“Already much has been achieved in terms of the public areas which has refreshed appearances without undermining the traditional values which work so effectively here.”
