Current Opportunities

General Manager - Hotel and Restaurant

We are currently seeking a General Manager for this truly special site. If you have high energy, the ambition and aspiration to excel in the hospitality industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As General Manager you will have full responsibility for the P&L and will be responsible for the training and development of all staff. You will have responsibility for the direct management of all departments, including; Reception, FOH Services, and Housekeeping.

You will be the ideal candidate for this role if you have a breadth of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably within both hotels and restaurants. You will be dynamic and charismatic, with the strongest customer service ethos. You like being around people of all nationalities and backgrounds. You are able to speak, understand and write English fluently.

You are able to deal with potential conflict situations in a calm, constructive and professional manner. You will be able to facilitate a positive, calm and relaxed atmosphere within the hotel.

You are comfortable using technology and social media – Housel Bay uses an electronic booking system for both accommodation and restaurant reservations, which is easy to master with the right training. You will also have the support of central Finance, IT and Marketing team, who you will work with closely to promote the hotel and drive revenue.

You will be an inspirational role model for the whole team working in the hotel and already have experience in motivating and managing others.

Sous Chef/Junior Sous

We are looking for a full-time Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join our team. The role will include assisting our Head Chef, Joseph Fallowfield, in all aspects of the daily operation of the kitchen and maintaining the highest level of culinary excellence. The successful candidate will assume supervision of staff and additional duties in absence of our Head Chef. 

Responsibilities will also include: running the sauce section, training junior staff and maintaining food safety documentation. Additionally maintaining an effective financial record of the kitchens operations. We are looking for someone who has a passion for dish creation and development as the role includes meal planning and budgeting. 

The position would suit someone from a rosette background however this is not essential.

Restaurant Front of House

Do you have a genuine desire to deliver a wonderful guest experience? If yes, we would love to hear from you!
