Sit in the elegant main lounge and watch the ships go by, read, play chess or simply drink in the view as the sun sets.

Alternatively there is the small lounge, with its delightful oriental flavour. Or the cocktail bar, with its collection of photographs and paintings by local artists and the Thatch bar with a panoramic view of the ocean.

Our restaurant serves Fiona’s own style of food, where classical dishes are created with a modern twist. Its all about flavour. The menu changes daily and features the finest Cornish produce, including: locally caught fish and seafood, organic, free range meats, seasonal vegetables and fruit from small nearby producers and of course locally made cheeses.

The extensive wine list features a carefully chosen selection of wines from all over the world ranging from classic French Burgundies and Champagne to New World Chardonnays and robust Reds. We will happily recommend the perfect wine to accompany your meal.

Linger over coffee on the terrace after a perfect day. And don't forget, there's also tomorrow?

We're open all four seasons. In spring, wildflowers adorn the cliffs and headlands and by early summer the entire coast is a riot of colour. Autumn is a mellow time; this part of Cornwall clings to the last of summer well into November. Nearer Christmas, the westerly winds roar and the sea crashes on the rocks below. After a bracing walk, watch from the warmth of the hotel with a log fire blazing and a glass of mulled wine to hand.

All year round at Housel Bay you can do the important things in life. Like walk, read, eat and drink, and relax.
