Housel Bay stands near Britain's most southerly point, which gets more sunshine than almost anywhere in Britain. The warm climate produces many rare tropical plants and flowers, some of which are unique to the area. Secluded Housel Cove with its sand and rock pools is a short stroll down the cliff path and rarely gets crowded even in high summer. There are few places in the country where the sea is so clear and the beaches so clean. The beach and nearby rocks are ideal for fishing, swimming and diving. Golf, riding and tennis are all nearby. There's also plenty of scope for those whose idea of exercise is to take a few paces to a recliner in the garden and sip a long cool drink! |
